RF13.8 - Hang-up antenna

This antenna is used for operation of the RF13 transceiver from trenches, forests or from buildings. The antena consits of a halyard for raising antenna, an antenna element, an impedance matching unit in the bottom part of the antena element, two 2.5 m counterpoises and a 5 m coaxial cable terminated with a BNC connector. The antenna is reeled on an aluminum alloy winch. Its main advantage consists in the possibility of its raising to a higher position than can be achieved by the whip antenna. In this way, the range of RF13 can be increased to 15 km.
