History

DICOM's history dates back to 1953 when it formed a development division within the large MESIT Corporation, supplying Eastern Europe with avionics and flight instruments. In 1993 MESIT transformed into MESIT Holding, a group of several mutually bound companies, and DICOM realigned its activities from only development to include both development and production. Since 1994 the company is a sole supplier of tactical communication equipment to numerous defence agencies worldwide.

Facilities

The latest and largest reconstruction, which DICOM went through in 2004, moved the company a further step ahead and left it equipped with up-to-date production facilities like CNC machinery, an SMT production line, extensive testing and quality controls and modern development laboratories. Each product undergoes a complex series of operations and mechanical/climatic tests. Quality control methodology is based on customer specifications, Czech and international standards like ISO, MIL-STD, STANAG, etc.
