DICOM is a technology company, which develops and manufactures highly dependable products for high-profile government entities such as military and law enforcement departments as well as business organizations with in the aerospace and utility industries. At present, DICOM offers a complete range of leading-edge products for voice and data communications, GPS satellite navigation, precise time/frequency generators and specialized avionics for the aircraft industry. Developed and produced in-house in the Czech Republic, our solutions boast of the excellent quality, reliability and robustness. So far, our globally evaluated solutions have been deployed in approximately 20 countries worldwide. DICOM’s prime contracting capability combines key in-depth system skills, enabling it to provide a one-stop shop capability and service provision for even the most demanding customers.

History

DICOM's history dates back to 1953 when it formed a development division within the large MESIT Corporation, supplying Eastern Europe with avionics and flight instruments. In 1993 MESIT transformed into MESIT Holding, a group of several mutually bound companies, and DICOM realigned its activities from only development to include both development and production. Since 1994 the company is a sole supplier of tactical communication equipment to numerous defence agencies worldwide.

Facilities

The latest and largest reconstruction, which DICOM went through in 2004, moved the company a further step ahead and left it equipped with up-to-date production facilities like CNC machinery, an SMT production line, extensive testing and quality controls and modern development laboratories. Each product undergoes a complex series of operations and mechanical/climatic tests. Quality control methodology is based on customer specifications, Czech and international standards like ISO, MIL - STD, STANAG, etc.
