The extreme conditions in which DICOM products are used require high technical and technological quality applied in all stages of development, production and testing.

A progressive company today cannot compete without implemented information technologies. We use a module-arranged information system for technical preparation of production, production management, material purchasing and sale of products, an accounting system for complete economic agenda, technical information management and library program, and the Internet. Computers combined with powerful software tools make it possible to quickly react to special customer requirements while maintaining high quality.

In the area of product development and design and documentation management, we use software tools for design of HW product parts and development of control software for these products, such as Autodesk INVENTOR for the design of mechanical parts, PROTEL for printed circuit board design, MyGEM database of materials, part lists and archives, and other SW, such as a programming environment for the design of control SW, SW for signal processors and gate field configuration software.

Manufacturing is organized for both functioning samples and prototypes, and for the subsequent series production.

Mechanical parts are made on machines providing the accuracy required for special technology components. We use our own conventional turning and working machines, digital milling machines, electrospark erosion and laser inscription.

Most printed circuit boards are mounted with SMD parts on a surface mount assembly line. Our advanced surface mount automat enables simultaneous mounting of various board types. It offers numerous checking and testing features. The unit has its own self-diagnostic system, while individual placement process steps are statistically evaluated. The workplace is also equipped with semi-automats, automatic optical inspection workstations and other devices for inspection and repairs .

The mounting of printed circuit boards with through-hole components is done manually.

The manufacture of cables is also technologically demanding, requiring special heated knives, tweezers, mechanical and pneumatic pliers and hot-air guns.

Debugging and testing of individual parts and finished products are essential part of the production stage. High performance test devices of our own design ensure high work productivity and enable the continuous testing and setting of required parameters. The flexibility and versatility of this equipment makes it ideal for use in service shops and external repair shops.

DICOM products are designed for tough operating conditions. This is why all our products are seasoned under limit temperatures in operation before delivery.

Each product must undergo a series of operability and mechanical-climatic tests in our own lab – exposure to heat, cold, humidity, low pressure, vibrations and impacts.

The final inspection, carried out on automated workstations, enables the complex handover of products under the supervision of a state quality inspection representative (ZSOJ).

Boards and final products are debugged and tested on single-purpose testers and complex PC-controlled measuring workstations.

Packing technology is an integral part of the production process before product dispatch to the customer. It provides both mechanical and climatic protection during transportation.

All DICOM technologies, beginning with design, through production to dispatch, meet our quality system standards and all applicable environmental regulations.
