DICOM, spol. s r. o., implemented and maintains a quality system, ensuring coverage of planned and systematic activities required to meet customer needs. The system must guarantee that products and services delivered by the company meet the quality standards demanded by the customer.

The corporate quality system is regularly audited by leading auditors.

Audits according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 or ČSN EN ISO 9001:2009 were carried out by Lloyd's register quality assurance (No. PRA0003935). The system is maintained and audited every three years and inspected every six months.

The Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic ÚřOSKSOJ – audited DICOM and issued a “CERTIFICATE” according to NATO AQAP 2110 military standard no. 13/9-2008.

DICOM was also awarded an “APPROVAL CERTIFICATE CZ.21G.0006” to manufacture aviation parts and devices (according to EASA-PART21) by the CCA CR.

To manufacture and sell military aviation products to the Czech Army, DICOM was awarded an “APPROVAL CERTIFICATE no. MAA 039”, by the Military aviation authority of the Czech Ministry of Defence.

The quality system is based on four levels of controlled documents and it is described in the quality manual, organization directives, implementation procedures and operational documents:

• quality manual (QM) is a basic document describing complex activities in the quality assurance area,
• organizational directives (OD) are the supreme documents in the system of quality management and assurance; they define and describe activities in relevant areas,
• implementation procedures are mainly internal corporate standards (DN) and technological procedures (implementation procedures and regulations required to assure quality for a specific activity),
• operational documents (production drawings, history sheets, forms…) are basically documents required for complex assurance, planning, monitoring and identification of production.

Inspection and testing

Prescribed inspections and tests are carried out during all stages of production, from design and purchasing to manufacturing, selling and servicing. Both mechanical and electric input checks are carried out, as well as inter-operational checks of primary machining production, mechanical and electronic assembly. Finished products undergo check-out and, upon customer request, a state quality assurance representative performs the so-called final inspection.
